Paramsatपरम सत्

Paramsat means highest truth. It is a platform for one to progress in one's endeavour without distraction. In keeping with that philosophy, it has no vanity metrics – no likes, followers, view count or subscribers. No social either that disturbs one's mind. Pure focus on one's project, nothing else.

  • Projects Written With Clarity

Every project is easily navigable via a sidebar of sections and posts. Everything written is also searchable within the project and the wider platform. This makes a project's design clear as well as easily found.

  • Search Any Relevant Work

Search the project you are in, or every project with one switch. Results are ordered by relevance to what you typed.

  • Replies Are Work Too

There are no comment threads. A response is an artifact of its own, linked to what it answers, so a discussion keeps both its quality and its history.

  • Links That Say What They Are

Work cites what it draws on and responds to what it answers. Followed together, those links form a lineage between works.

  • Nothing Counted

No feed, no likes, no followers, no view counts. Work is found by searching, by topic and by following links.

  • Made to Last

Work is kept as plain text and media at addresses that do not change, so links keep working.

How It Is Organized

A Lab belongs to one person and holds their projects. A project holds artifacts: documentation, articles, notes, releases and datasets, each published at an address that does not change. Labs, Projects and Artifacts explains each, and Reading a Project shows how to find your way around one.

Where It Stands

Paramsat is built in phases, and each has to earn the next. Today the site shows one Lab, Tejas's Lab, and its first project is this one, which documents Paramsat. Labs for more people come next, then writing and publishing in the site itself. The roadmap has the detail, and the name says where the word comes from.
